What's the difference between 10ct, 14ct and 18ct gold?
10ct: Paler gold tone with a beautiful shine. The most durable of the three, because of its low purity.
14ct: Richer color than 9ct. Slightly more malleable, but tarnishes slower.
18c: The richest, most premium color and shine. Highest gold content but softest, the most purity you'd want for grillz, as anything higher is too soft for the mouth.
Is 925 silver a good option?
925 silver (92.5% pure silver, 7.5% other metals) is the most affordable way to start a grillz collection. The trade-off is it tarnishes faster than gold, especially with smoking, drinking acidic drinks, or eating while wearing them.
Silver is also more malleable, so grillz can lose their shape and their fit, if they aren't looked after.

Are gold grillz safer than silver?
Generally, yes. High-quality gold is less likely to irritate than silver or low-grade alloys, which can contain nickel. If you're sensitive to metals, gold is the safest option to wear orally.
How often should I clean my grillz?
Every time you take them out. Bacteria builds up quickly, so a quick clean after each wear is recommended.
Will my grillz tarnish, and can that be fixed?
All metals tarnish eventually. Silver fastest, then lower-carat gold, with higher-carat and dental gold lasting longest. Avoiding smoking, acidic drinks and eating while wearing them will slow this down considerably. A polishing service can bring any grillz back to their original shin!
